Yoga, Meditation and Qi Gong

Yoga is an ancient tradition of psycho-physical and spiritual practices that have been systematized over thousands of years. Qi Gong is a method of directing Qi (life-force or ethic energy) by using attention and the mind to increase its circulation through-out the body. Both systems are compatible and useful depending on a person’s capacity, needs and goals.

Yoga can expand awareness, increase psycho-physical integration and spiritual sensitivity, and enables deep relaxation and equanimity. Over time it sensitizes you to the all-pervading Life-energy or life-force as well as the spiritual dimensions of existence. Yoga can anyone develop a profound sense of well-being and over-all health.

Based on over 35 years of experience practicing yoga and meditation, I teach the essence of yoga found in a variety of traditions (Hatha, Astanga Yoga, Viniyoga, Kundalini, and Taoist Yoga). I cover the fundamentals of meditation along with the insights and techniques of Western body methods like Alexander, Feldenkrais, and Structural Integration.

Yoga Course

My teaching covers the essence (esoteric core) of Yoga and Conductivity exercises as they exist in multiple cultures and traditions (specifically South Indian and Chinese Taoist) along with developments in Western Body methods and how they relate. Instruction is experiential and practice oriented interweaved with didactic instruction. I teach the basic principles and tools necessary to understand and practice energetic exercises as well as how to address basic and specific body (functional and structural) problems and how the mind is involved. In the process you’ll also learn about the relationship between awareness, body structure and energy, meridian system and myofascial tissue, how they relate, and it significance for health, healing and prevention. 
Appropriate for both beginners and non-beginners.


A unique method for applying the principles of yoga and bodywork on your own body and teaching other in there practice. Can be used by body-worker in your practice.

Yoga Therapy

Yoga Therapy is a systematic individualized application of yoga asanas (postures and breathing exercises) to you unique health needs. It addresses a wide variety of physical and mental health problems.

Back Pain Exercises

There are many good exercises and activities that are helpful for preventing and alleviating back pain. The following series of exercises and stretches is comprised of what the Conscious Health Institute considers to be the most efficient and essential steps to creating a healthy back.

It is important to note that this series is generic and can apply to anyone; however, each person should take his or her unique personal health condition and needs into consideration before starting the series. Regarding back pain, it is always best to consult with a back care professional before starting a new exercise program.
